UlcoBliss Tablets

Presentation: Blister Pack Of 60 Tablets, (60 gm)

(1000 mg Each Tablet)

Inflammatory bowel disease refers to two chronic diseases that cause inflammation of the intestines: Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease. Although the diseases have some features in common, there are some important differences. Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory disease of the large intestine, also called the colon. In ulcerative colitis, the inner lining - or mucosa - of the intestine becomes inflamed  and develops ulcers . Ulcerative colitis is often the most severe in the rectal area, which can cause frequent diarrhoea. Mucus and blood often appear in the stool (feces) if the lining of the colon is damaged. Crohn's disease differs from ulcerative colitis in the areas of the bowel it involves - it most commonly affects the last part of the small intestine (called the terminal ileum) and parts of the large intestine.

However, Crohn's disease isn't limited to these areas and can attack any part of the digestive tract. Crohn's disease causes inflammation that extends much deeper into the layers of the intestinal wall than ulcerative colitis does. Crohn's disease generally tends to involve the entire bowel wall, whereas ulcerative colitis affects only the lining of the bowel.

ULCOBLISS is a completely herbal formulation which promotes total intestinal health and  effectively reduces inflammation in the intestine. It helps stop the repeated episodes of diarrhoea and abdominal cramps besides improving the overall health. It promotes healing of ulcer and helps strengthen intestinal immunity.

How It Helps:

  • A safe and total  support for optimum bowel health.

  • Recommended as the best supportive supplement in crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel disease.

  • Helps normalize intestinal motility and reduces repeated  episodes of diarrhea.

  • Helps stop the bleeding, damage and leakage of the intestine wall.

  • Helps relax the bowel muscles and  reduces abnormal  abdominal cramps.

  • Checks the ongoing inflammatory process in the intestine.

  • Strengthens the intestinal mucosa, normalize mucous secretion and promotes healing.

  • Strengthens the immunity and blocks abnormal immune reactions.

  • Reduces stress and anxiety, triggering factor which worsens the discomfort.

  • Checks the further progression of the disease and enhances regenerative process.

  • Helps to overcome from associated  general debility and weakness.

Recommended Dosage and Duration: 1-2 tablet two times a day after meals with water for minimum of 6-8 months. In case of   repeated episodes of diarrhoea and more pronounced abdominal cramps take 2 tablets three times a day for 3-4 weeks and then maintain regular dose of 1-2 tablet thereafter.

Dietary Recommendation and Lifestyle Modification: Dietary changes that help one person with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) may not relieve symptoms in another. Recommendations depend on the part of your intestine that is affected and which disease you have. Generally limit dairy products and avoid highly seasoned foods and foods high in indigestible fiber.  Eat smaller more frequent meals and low fat diet. Getting enough rest, regular exercise and reducing stress also seem to improve symptoms.

  • Bacopa monnieri (Thyme Leaved Gratiola)

  • Aegle marmelos (Bael)

Boswellia serrata (Indian Olibanum tree), Shallaki:

In ancient Ayurveda text boswellia was used for joint disorder & Raktaja Atisar (blood mixed  diarrhea). Pharmacological studies have found that extract from the gum resin of Boswellia serrata (Indian olibanum, a relative of frankincense) possesses anti-inflammatory properties. In particular, the boswellic acids which is the active priciple in Boswellia serrata, inhibit the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase which is responsible for the production of leukotrienes. Since the inflammatory process in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is associated with increased function of leukotrienes, the benefits of Boswellia in the treatment of both chronic colitis (ulcerative colitis) and Crohn's disease have shown positive result. It also directly inhibits intestinal motility with a mechanism involving L-type Ca2+ channels.  The extract of Boswellia serrata prevents diarrhoea and normalizes intestinal motility in pathophysiological state. These results could explain, at least in part, the clinical efficacy of this Ayurvedic remedy in reducing diarrhoea in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Read more...

Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice) Mulethi:

Aegle marmelos (Bael):

The various parts of the bael plant are used in Ayurveda and Unani medicine for treatment of a variety of diseases, including treatment of diarrhea, dysentery and dyspeptic symptoms. It contains tannin and mucilaginous substances which have been clinically proven to help patients suffering from diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome. Marmelosin, isolated from the bael plant, has been reported to have anti-helminthic and anti-bacterial activity. Further gastroenterological interest in bael comes from the finding that oral administration of luvangetin, a pyranocoumarin isolated from the seeds of Aegle marmelos, protected against multiple models of G.I.T ulceration. Curcuma longa (Turmeric) Haldi:

The active ingredient of turmeric reduces the production of an inflammatory chemical called NF-kappaB. This chemical is involved in a variety of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, dementia and bowel disease. The scientists discovered that turmeric is able to reduce inflammation in the lining of the bowel and improve overall bowel health. Inflammation is not the only change that takes place in the bowel during an Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) attack. The small muscles around the bowel can also become irritated and cause muscle cramps, which is manifested by the sensation of needing to get to a toilet straight away. Turmeric significantly blocks these abnormal muscle cramps and relaxes the bowel muscles, so helping to improve the movements of the smooth muscle within the bowel. Turmeric is able to block the chemical histamine, which can also cause the small muscles of the bowel to contract abnormally. This dual action of  Turmeric's i.e  ability to reduce bowel inflammation  as well as  in controlling abnormal muscle contractions in the bowel, translates into less frequent and less severe IBS attacks. In particular, as the functioning of the bowel becomes more normal following treatment with turmeric, less gas is produced inside the bowel, and fewer cramps and bouts of diarrhoea result.
