Boswellia serrata (Indian Olibenum) Shallaki:
It is an excellent herb for joint health due to
anti-inflammatory, restorative and regenerative
properties. Boswellic acid, one of the main
constituent of Boswellia is an effective
anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic agent.
Boswellic acid reduces inflammation in several ways like deterring
inflammatory white cells from infiltrating damaged tissue, improving
blood flow to the joints and blocking chemical reactions that set the
stage for inflammation. Leukotrienes cause inflammation by promoting
free radical damage, calcium dislocation, autoimmune response, cell
adhesion and migration of inflammation producing cells to the inflamed
body area. Boswellia inhibits inflammation by blocking the synthesis
of leukotrienes. The nonphenolic fraction of the gum resin of
Boswellia has analgesic action.

Curcuma longa (Turmeric) Haldi:
Curcumin, the active principle of Curcuma,
has shown significant anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability
to reduce histamine levels and possibly
increases natural cortisone production by the
adrenal glands. Curcuma has powerful
antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action. Our
bodies are designed to fight this inflammation
via our immune system. But in the process may
become overburdened and, therefore, weakened
from battling the const free radical induced
inflammation. The health benefits of turmeric
are as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
It may aid our immune system indirectly.

Kapha. This imbalance produces degenerative
changes known as Sandhivata (Osteoarthritis).
Methi is well known Ayurveda herb for
balancing Vata and Kapha. Methyadi Rasayana, a
classical Ayurvedic formulation, is used in
nerve and joints pain like Sciatica and Slip
disc. Methi promotes digestion and removes the
